This platform is designed against the ISO 1496-2 standard for thermal containers, which is what guarantees that a set clipped to any compliant reefer will deliver the voltage and frequency the box expects. It is fully compliant with EPA and CARB requirements, and it is offered in three mounting configurations: clip-on, centre-mount and side-mount.
EcoPower is the feature worth understanding. It is an enhanced operation mode combining hardware and software changes that manage engine speed against actual refrigeration load, and Thermo King has documented more than 20 percent fuel savings against competing sets running it. Over a year on a busy box that is a material number, and it comes with proportionally lower emissions.
The SG+ controller carries a high-resolution multi-language interface, so a set moving between operators and countries can still be run correctly, along with alarm handling, running hours and voltage check. Auto-restart brings the set back after a fault without an operator present, which is the difference between a delayed load and a lost one. The fuel tank holds 473 litres, with smaller and larger options available on request.
