A Carrier PowerLINE 69UG15-068S-05 undermount genset, Series 5, with a 23.9 kW Tier 4 interim export engine. It is for chassis fleets operating outside the United States and may not be used here.
Series 5 is the undermount for markets where the older Tier 4 interim limits are accepted. Its V2203-DI engine is a four-cylinder, water-cooled, 2.2 litre direct-injection diesel of 32 hp, or 23.9 kW. Because that is an export engine, the set is sold only for use outside the United States. We will ask you to confirm the destination before we sell one.
Power comes from a nominal 15 kW brushless, field-wound generator giving 460 V, self-regulated. FuelWise is optional on this series, and Carrier puts the fuel saving at up to 28 percent against single-speed sets. A 12 volt maintenance-free battery with a solid-state charger is standard.
The 69UG15 fits container chassis whose I-beams sit 36 to 38 in. apart on centre, with at least 10 in. of beam height. Tanks come in 50, 68 or 80 gallon sizes; the dry weight is 1,555 lb with the 50 gallon steel tank or 1,485 lb with the 50 gallon aluminium tank. New and used sets are listed from $8,700 to $12,700.
