Description
A Carrier PowerLINE clip-on genset that hangs on the front of a refrigerated container and powers it on the road or rail. Choose the 69RG15-120W-55, 69RG15-120W-13 or 69RG15-130W-05; each delivers 15 kW at 460 V.
A refrigerated container has no engine of its own. On a ship or at a terminal it plugs into shore power, and once it leaves on a chassis or a railcar something has to supply 460 volts. A clip-on set does that. It hangs from the header rail or clamps to the corner castings at the machinery end, leaves the control box reachable, and comes off again in minutes when the box is returned.
What separates the three models on this page is where they may legally run. The Series 55 set is certified to EU Stage V. The Series 13 set meets US EPA Tier 4 and is the usual choice for American operators. The Series 5 set carries a Tier 4 interim export engine and is sold for use outside the United States only. All three share a 130 gallon fuel tank and the same outer envelope.
