The Carrier PowerLINE 69RG15-130W-05, a Series 5 clip-on genset with a Tier 4 interim export engine. It is built for operators running refrigerated containers outside the United States, and it is not for use here.

Carrier makes Series 5 for countries where the older EPA Tier 4 interim limits meet or beat the local rules. The engine is the V2203-DI, a four-cylinder, water-cooled, 2.2 litre direct-injection diesel producing 32 hp, or 23.9 kW, which puts it in the 19 to 37 kW class. Because it is an export engine, the set may be sold for and used only outside the United States. Please take that as a firm condition of purchase.

The generator is a field-wound, brushless design of nominal 15 kW producing 460 V, internally excited and self-regulated, with every electrical component sealed inside the generator housing against moisture and salt. An electronic governor holds engine speed nearly constant, which keeps output voltage steady. FuelWise two-speed operation is available for this series.

Mounting is by pin to the header rail or by clamps to the corner castings, and the set leaves the refrigeration control box accessible. Tank capacity is 130 US gallons. New and used sets are listed at $7,500 to $13,800; weight is confirmed for the individual set.
