Description
A new 230 V to 460 V reefer transformer in a stainless enclosure, $3,100 from $3,500 — 15 kVA, non-interlocked, with a 50 A 240 V plug in and a 32 A 480 V cord connector out.
The enclosure is the difference here: 16-gauge 304 stainless, powder coated grey to RAL 7038, rather than a painted steel housing. On equipment that lives on the outside of a container in weather and salt spray, stainless is what keeps the box intact long enough for the transformer inside to matter.
Fifteen kVA covers a single container refrigeration machine with margin. Connections are a 50 A 240 V A/C plug on the input and a 32 A 480 V A/C cord connector on the output, non-interlocked. Field installation is straightforward for a licensed electrician thanks to the standard CEE-17-compliant receptacle.
