An 18,000 gallon ASME propane storage tank mounted on a skid, rated 250 psi, new or used. A mid-size bulk vessel for propane retailers, NGL producers and industrial sites that outgrow smaller tanks.
Eighteen thousand gallons fills the gap between the few-thousand-gallon tanks at a farm or factory and the 30,000 gallon bullets at a full bulk plant. With the usual 80 percent fill that is about 14,400 gallons on hand. The size suits a satellite storage point for a propane dealer, a crop-drying or poultry operation with a heavy seasonal load, or temporary NGL storage at a production site.
Because the vessel sits on a skid, it needs a level, compacted pad rather than engineered foundations, and it can be picked up and relocated later. It is an ASME pressure vessel rated 250 psi. One vessel in the supplier's material was listed at about 109 in. in diameter and 40 ft overall, which gives a fair idea of the footprint to plan for.
New and used tanks are listed at $32,000 to $65,500, depending on condition and fittings. Valves, pump and build year differ from tank to tank, so we confirm all of them, together with the data plate, for the specific vessel before you order.
