Description
A Superior 10,450 gallon anhydrous ammonia transport trailer for moving agricultural fertilizer from terminal to farm or retail plant. It is an MC-331 cargo tank on tandem axles, offered as a 1964 or a 1966 unit.
Nurse tanks on the farm and bulk storage at the ag retailer have to be refilled from somewhere, and a transport trailer like this is how the fertilizer gets there. The vessel is a DOT MC-331 cargo tank with a working pressure of 265 psi and a capacity of 10,450 gallons. It comes fitted with a product pump and a tank volume gauge, on a tandem axle with spring suspension, aluminium rims and aluminium fenders.
Two trailers are on offer, one built in 1964 and one in 1966, priced at $45,000 and $46,000. The source description mixed in data from other transport trailers, including a different pump make, shell diameter and National Board number, so we have not printed dimensions, plate thickness or serial details. We will read the stampings and data plate on whichever trailer you choose.
A cargo tank of this age has to have a current MC-331 test and inspection record before it goes back into fertilizer service. Have a qualified cargo tank inspector look it over, and budget for that inspection alongside the purchase price.
