Description
A MAXP series sealless magnetic-drive process pump built to the ANSI B73.3 standard for sealless centrifugal pumps. Up to 2,000 GPM, 470 ft of head, 285 psig working pressure and fluid temperatures from minus 150 to 800 degrees F.
B73.3 is the standard covering sealless centrifugal pumps for chemical process service, and a pump built to it is dimensionally and functionally interchangeable with others of the same designation. That matters in a plant: it means a replacement drops onto the same baseplate and piping without redesigning the installation, and it sets a common expectation for what the pump has to withstand.
The design is built around maintenance and containment. Single static gasket construction eliminates every O-ring from the process fluid. The containment shell is heavy-walled, with optional secondary containment and anti-contact ribs to prevent a breach. Slip-fit assembly means no shims, no heated bushing holders and no special tools, and the impellers are fully enclosed and need no shimming or assembly adjustment. Provision is made for thermocouple or RTD and for vibration monitoring, which is how a sealless pump is properly protected in service.
Bearings are long-wearing silicon carbide, with a SiC-X option for upset or dry-run conditions. Magnets are neodymium, or samarium cobalt where the fluid runs hot. The motor mounts on a NEMA or IEC frame, connections are 150 lb raised-face ANSI flanges as standard with 300 lb optional, and speeds run to 3,550 rpm at up to 200 hp. Steam jackets, external flush, recirculated flush and vent, vortex breakers and centreline mounting are all available options.
