Description
A 19 ft by 20 ft expandable prefab house with built-in cabinetry, $30,000. Three hundred and eighty square feet expanded, 7,900 lb shipping weight, rated for a 40 lb/ft² snow load.
This is the Type C build — the cabinet version — and the largest expandable in the range. The bathroom includes a shower with stainless curtain rack, valve, sprinkler, rod, floor drain and door stopper, behind a WPC and frosted glass door; the main entry is a lockable aluminium security door.
Roof is flame-retardant foam with aluminium-magnesium-manganese thermal insulation; floor is glass magnesium board under 0.08 in wear-resistant laminate leather. Sealant throughout is neutral environmental grade. Hinge pulley blocks are rated 2,000 lb on 5 mm wire rope.
The manufacturer answers one question directly and it is worth repeating: two units cannot be joined into a single open space. A gap remains between them and the walls do not remove. Buy the footprint you need in one unit. The quoted R-value of 0.2–0.5 m²·K/W is roughly R-1 to R-3 in US terms, which is thin for a heating climate.
