The SB-110+ is the smallest of the SB+ trailer family, sitting below the 210+ and 310+ with a deliberately reduced cooling capacity. That makes it the right unit for dairy and deli work, in-city delivery and shorter runs, where the box is opened often and the load does not need the pull-down of a long-haul unit. It is a front-mount, microprocessor-controlled unit with directional air delivery.
The engine is Thermo King's TK486V four-cylinder direct-injection diesel, 34 hp at 2,200 rpm high speed and 1,450 rpm low, on 3,000 hour maintenance intervals with the EMI-3000 filtration package. The compressor is the X426L at 26 cubic inches, with a forged crankshaft, replaceable liners and an aluminium alloy body. Airflow is 3,500 CFM at zero static pressure and 3,200 CFM at half an inch.
Control is by the SR-2, which carries OptiSet Plus commodity profiles, CYCLE-SENTRY and CYCLE-SENTRY modulation for fuel saving, ServiceWatch for maintenance data and CargoWatch for the temperature record a HACCP plan needs. Refrigerant is chlorine-free R-404A at a 13 pound charge, against as much as 20 pounds on some competing units. Unit weight is 1,635 pounds; the 50 gallon aluminium fuel tank adds 35.
