Description
A 40 ft high cube open side container, new or used from $3,700 — full-length side doors swinging 180 or 270 degrees, opening the whole flank to the full container width.
A 270-degree swing is the specification that matters. At 180 degrees the leaves stand out from the container and a forklift has to work between them; at 270 they fold flat back against the side and the opening is genuinely clear for the full 40 ft.
The practical gain is that any pallet is directly reachable rather than buried behind the ones in front of it, and long material loads sideways instead of being threaded through an end door. High cube height means 8 ft 10 in inside, so the side opening is tall as well as long.
All units come with a high security lock box and plywood flooring, are stackable, and are suitable for a wide range of cargo. Flooring can be specified as PU coating, steel, bamboo or hazmat in place of plywood.
