Description
A 40 ft flat rack at $1,500 — the lowest-priced flat rack in stock, in fixed-end or collapsible configuration. No sides, no roof, a heavy timber deck on a steel frame.
Flat racks carry what containers cannot: vehicles, heavy machinery, large industrial parts, construction material, piping. Lashing rings in the side rails, corner posts and floor take up to 4,000 kg each on a 40 ft rack, and the load is chained or strapped to those points rather than to the frame at large.
Collapsible end walls fold flat so empty units stack for backhaul; fixed ends give you a bulkhead for bundled material like pipe. Forty-foot racks carry gooseneck tunnels at each end, and some are supplied with lashing winches and two-tonne belts. Beyond shipping they are commonly re-used as bridges and platforms, which is what most buyers at this price are after.
