Description
An all-aluminum twelve-foot trailer on aluminum wheels with a 36 in loading gate — light, rust-proof and simple.
A twelve-foot aluminum trailer is a genuinely easy thing to own. It does not rust, so there is no annual inspection of the frame under the deck and no rust bloom at the bolt holes; it is light enough to move by hand and light enough that a modest tow vehicle barely notices it; and the precision extrusion frame does not have welded joints that fatigue.
The 36 in loading gate carries a lawn-mower edge, which is the shallow lip that lets a mower deck cross the joint without catching. A 4 in 3,500 lb drop axle with greaseable hubs lowers the deck slightly, and the wiring is enclosed in the frame rather than run under it. Six-ply C-rated tires on 14 in wheels, with a 1,500 lb adjustable jack and wheel.
