2005 Sundowner Sunlite 6LQ Horse Trailer with 11′ Short Wall 725 Grand Sierra 8612GLQ MidTack

Description

A six-horse Grand Sierra with an 11 ft short wall, a midtack and a generator — 40 ft of box at 8 ft of interior height, which is a full 24 hands.

Eight feet of interior height is exceptional and it is the figure that defines this trailer. Twenty-four hands clears warmbloods, drafts and tall show horses with room to spare, where the 7 ft 6 in standard would have them traveling close to the roof. Combined with a 40 ft box and 8 ft of outside width, it is a genuinely large six-horse.

At 15,000 lb empty against a 25,950 lb GVWR there is around eleven thousand pounds of payload — enough for six horses at working weight plus tack and water. The living quarters carry a Glideout, refrigerator, cooktop and microwave, sofa, A/C and furnace, a full bathroom, fresh, gray and black water with a heater, an onboard generator, LP tanks, battery, 110 V wiring and an electric awning. Midtack, escape door, mangers, aluminum floor, hydraulic jack, 7,000 lb axles on 16 in tires.
