Description
A steel three-horse gooseneck with a 4 ft short wall and 7 ft longwall, 16 ft box, 5,200 lb axles on 16 in tires, at 3,800 lb empty against 9,760 lb gross.
Four feet of short wall on a gooseneck gives a proper dressing room over the neck rather than a cupboard, and that is the practical difference between this and the 1 ft and 2 ft short-wall trailers alongside it. The 7 ft longwall tells you the total length of that area including the gooseneck overhang.
Interior height is 7 ft 3 in — 21.75 hands — which clears horses to about 16 hands, on a 6 ft 10 in outside width. Steel construction is strong and inexpensive and it rusts wherever the coating has failed, particularly under the mats and along the lower panels, so that is where to look. A spare tire and manual jack are fitted. This is one-off used stock and it sells as it stands.
