Description
A T75 40 ft cryogenic ISO tank, $58,000 — a 45,000 litre vacuum-insulated stainless vessel for LNG, ethane, ethylene, methane, liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon and CO₂, holding contents at temperatures down to -162°C.
The T75 is the current UN portable tank specification for cryogenic gases, and it outperforms the older IMO7 series on payload, hold time and maintenance cost. Construction is a 304L stainless inner and outer vessel with vacuum multi-layer super insulation — the combination that gives low static evaporation rates and long holding times.
Connections are a bottom fill and liquid line on a dual-drilled DN80/65 PN40 flange and a top fill and gas line on a dual-drilled DN50/40 PN40 flange, with PTFE gaskets. Design code is ASME VIII Division 1, working pressure 10.0 bar and test pressure 14.3 bar, with a design temperature range of -40°C to +55°C. Approvals cover IMDG, RID/ADR, CFR 48, USDOT, TIR, UIC, CSC, TC and UKDFT, with a CSC certificate from GL, LR, BV or ABS.
This is regulated pressure equipment. Filling, transport, storage and operation all sit under rules that vary by product and jurisdiction, and require qualified handling at every stage.
