Description
A new 2024 Diamond C 8.5×22 deckover, $6,500 — two feet longer than the 20 ft version at the same price, with 82 in slide-in ramps and a 6 in channel frame.
The extra two feet costs you payload rather than money: at 3,120 lb empty against a 7,000 lb GVWR, usable capacity comes out at 3,880 lb, about 270 lb less than the 20 ft version. Whether that trade is worth it depends entirely on whether your load is long or heavy.
Frame is 6 in channel with 3 in I-beam crossmembers on 24 in centres and a 5 in by 2 in rectangle tube, on 4-leaf spring suspension with super-lube electric brake axles and ST205/75R15 radials. Straight deck with 82 in slide-in ramps in 2 in square tube. Fitted options include a lockable tongue storage box, spare mount, half-inch D-rings and retractable steps.
