Aluminium is what makes those numbers work. A steel gooseneck of this size runs two to three thousand pounds heavier empty, and every one of those pounds comes off your payload. The superstructure is 10 in by half-inch aluminium channel with non-skid tongue-and-groove extruded aluminium decking, and it will not rust.
Running gear is 7,000 lb rubber torsion axles with electric brakes, and the fitted options are the ones that matter on an equipment hauler: three flip-over ramps that combine into a full-width ramped rear, beavertail construction, a sliding winch track with ratchets, a toolbox, D-rings, aluminium rims with radials and a spare with carrier.
