Description

A 10 ft container swimming pool, $12,000 reduced from $16,000 — a Corten shell with 1.6 m of depth, supplied with stairs, a deck and a child safety gate, with the filtration accessible under the deck.

One metre sixty is a genuine swimming depth rather than a wading one, which is what separates this from a plunge tank. Underwater viewing windows can be designed into the shell.

The compact footprint is the argument for it. A 10 ft pool goes into a small yard or onto a roof terrace where excavation is impossible and a 20 ft unit will not fit, which is what has made container pools popular with both homeowners and municipalities. Corten's rust-resistant properties give better longevity than conventional steel in an outdoor water application.

The child safety gate is supplied, but local barrier, alarm and permit requirements still apply and are the buyer's to satisfy. The base needs to be engineered for the filled weight.
