Description
A Polar MC-331 LPG transport trailer in the 10,600 to 11,600 gallon class, mild steel, rated 265 psi, on a tandem fixed axle with air ride suspension and all-aluminium wheels.
Polar builds the pressurised end of the tank trailer market, and an MC-331 from that line is a straightforward piece of equipment: a single-compartment cylindrical vessel with a powder-coated barrel over zinc undercoating, a two-piece barrel design, and running gear specified for a load that sits high and stays put.
The pressure rating is what defines the trailer. At 265 psi it is built for propane, butane, propylene, anhydrous ammonia and the other liquefied gases that are hauled as liquids under their own vapour pressure, with the relief, shut-off, bonding and instrumentation the specification requires. Suspension is air ride on 11R22.5 tyres and all-aluminium wheels; the axles are tandem and fixed.
