This listing is for used 500 gallon horizontal vessels that have come out of service. The price reflects that. We do not recertify them, we do not test them, and we do not represent them as fit to hold propane or any other gas under pressure. They are sold as-is, the same as any reclaimed item on this site, with no warranty.
What you get is a lot of formed steel. An above-ground tank of this size weighs about 920 lb empty and an underground version about 953 lb, in a horizontal shell close to ten feet long. Old propane vessels like these are a favourite starting point for barbecue smoker builds, water or feed storage conversions and general shop fabrication. Choose the above-ground or underground style at order.
