A material handler is built around reach and cycle time instead of digging force. The boom and stick use continuous top and side plate construction for strength at long reach, the cab elevates for visibility over a pile, and independent outrigger controls let a wheeled machine sit level on ground that is anything but. In a scrapyard or a millyard that combination moves more tonnes per hour than an excavator with a grapple bolted on.

The series splits by undercarriage. Wheel machines, the MH3024 and MH3026, are the nimble end: 59,100 and 64,375 pounds maximum operating weight, 39.4 and 42.7 feet of maximum reach, on Cat C4.4 and C7.1 engines. Track machines go heavier, with the MH3250 at 107,700 pounds operating weight and 52.5 feet of reach on a Cat C9.3B, and the MH3260 above it. Wheels for hard standing and frequent repositioning, tracks for soft ground and sustained reach.
