A 20 ft shipping container converted into a heated and air-conditioned office of about 160 sq ft, for site managers, remote crews or a back-garden workspace that needs to lock up properly.
The conversion starts with a steel 20 ft box. It is lined with SIP panels carrying R-13 polyurethane insulation and floored with high-end vinyl over plywood. A man door and a 36 in square window are cut in, and the outside is painted in a standard RAL colour of green, blue, grey or black. A single 9,000 BTU air conditioner with heat keeps the room usable through the year.
The electrical package is ready to plug in. It has a 100 amp breaker box, six double 110 V sockets, four 4 ft spotlights, a pre-wired CAT5 data box, an exterior junction box and one external hook-up, so connecting power is a job for your electrician rather than a rebuild. The finished office measures 20 ft by 8 ft by 8 ft 6 in outside and weighs about 5,181 lb empty. Inside it is roughly 19 ft by 7 ft 8 in with 7 ft 10 in of headroom.
Options include a custom exterior colour, a lock box, roll-up doors, a bathroom and built-in furniture. The listing offers a choice of new or used condition.
