It means the box still meets the requirements to travel loaded on a ship or rail, so the frame, floor, doors and corner castings all have to be in serviceable order. The container is a genuine ex-shipping line unit with CSC plating for transport. It is built of Corten steel with two locking bars on each cargo door and forklift pockets on either side. The floor is 28 mm marine plywood on steel cross members, and there are fitted vents. It is listed as structurally sound and wind and watertight.
