20ft Open Side Shipping Container

Description

A 20 ft high cube open side container, $2,800 from $2,999, with an 18 ft 8 in side opening. Tare 7,000 lb, payload 46,000 lb, twelve photographs.

Eighteen feet eight inches of clear side opening is nearly the full length of the box. A forklift can place or retrieve any pallet directly, long material goes in sideways rather than being threaded through the end door, and the open flank becomes the frontage if the unit is destined for retail or exhibition conversion.

This is the high cube version — 9 ft 6 in outside, roughly 8 ft 6 in inside. The extra tare weight over a plain 20 ft (7,000 lb against about 4,850 lb) is the door hardware and the frame reinforcement that a full-length side opening requires. Leave swing clearance along the door side when siting it.
