A 2024 N&N 7×14 galvanized hydraulic dump trailer, $10,600. GVWR 14,000 lb, 9,800 lb of payload, with a 12-tonne three-stage telescopic cylinder and 72 in undermount galvanized ramps.
A three-stage telescopic cylinder lifts from the front of the bed rather than from a scissor under it, which means a steeper tip angle and a bed that empties completely instead of leaving a wedge of material at the back. Twelve tonnes of cylinder capacity on a 14,000 lb trailer is generous.
The whole trailer is galvanized — axles, ramps, rims and structure — which on a dump trailer hauling wet aggregate and salt is the difference between a decade of service and five years of rust repair. Frame is 2 in by 6 in by quarter-inch rectangular tubing with reinforced spring hangers and crossmembers on 16 in centres, sides are 23 in inside, and the door is dual-action. A tarp and roller with an aluminium tarp protector, aluminium toolbox, smart battery charger, cold weather harness, stabiliser legs, plank holders, four welded D-rings and a 12K drop-leg jack are fitted.
