Eight-thousand-pound axles on 17.5 in tires is commercial running gear, and it is what a 16,000 lb GVWR trailer recorded at 10,985 lb empty needs to do the work reliably. Larger wheels run cooler over distance and carry more per tire, which on a loaded stock LQ covering highway miles is the difference between arriving and stopping.
The midtack sits between the living quarters and the stock area, which gives you tack storage that does not eat into either. Twenty-seven-foot box at 8 ft outside width with 7 ft 6 in of interior height and mangers, an escape door and a walk-through door. The living quarters run a refrigerator, cooktop, oven and microwave, A/C and furnace, a bathroom with sink, toilet and shower, fresh, gray and black water with a heater, LP tanks, battery, 110 V wiring, a Glideout and an electric awning.
