Description
A four-horse Lakota Charger with living quarters and a 9 ft flush-floor slide-out, 32 ft long by 8 ft wide by 7 ft 10 in tall, on tandem 8,000 lb axles.
The axles sit at a zero up-degree angle, which the maker specifies for modern four-wheel-drive trucks — a detail that matters because a truck sitting higher at the hitch tips the trailer nose-up and puts the load onto the rear axle. Seventeen-and-a-half-inch load range H radials on aluminum wheels carry the weight.
The stall area is lined and insulated with white aluminum, rubber to 48 in with a kick plate behind it, extruded aluminum flooring under rubber mats, padded dividers with slam latches, feed mangers in stalls two to four, drop-down feed windows on the head side with separate drop-down bars, four drop-downs on the hip side, and an escape door in the first stall with a flush lock and fold-down step. The living quarters carry a 5.5 kW Onan on a hayrack platform with its own fuel tank and external gauge, 50 amp service with a 30 amp adapter, three deep-cycle batteries with a disconnect, two 20 lb propane tanks with automatic changeover, and a 19 ft A&E electric awning.
