Description
A galvanneal three-horse slant load bumper pull, 6 ft wide with a 17 ft box, on 3,500 lb axles at a 7,000 lb GVWR against 3,500 lb empty.
Half the gross rating is the trailer itself, which is the figure to plan around: 3,500 lb of payload for three horses is tight, and three average animals at 1,200 lb each would exceed it. This is a trailer for smaller stock, or for two horses rather than three, and the arithmetic is worth doing before you buy.
Galvanneal construction is galvanized-and-annealed steel — a zinc-alloy surface that takes paint properly and resists rust far better than plain steel at less cost than aluminum. Six feet of outside width is narrow by current standards and the interior height is 7 ft, which is 21 hands. A 2 ft short wall with a 5 ft longwall gives a small dressing area. Clean as new, in the seller’s description.
