Description
A 10 ft high cube built out as a remote operator station: 50 mm insulation panel throughout, a split-system air conditioner, a glass sliding door and an external transformer mounted alongside the condenser. $1,999.
The point of an operator station is to put a person somewhere they can see the work without being in it — running machinery in a high-risk area from behind glass rather than beside it. The high cube shell was chosen deliberately: after 50 mm of insulation panel on the walls and ceiling there is still standing room, which a standard-height 10 ft would not have given.
The glass sliding door provides the sightline. The split system keeps the cabin workable in Texas summer heat, and the transformer mounted externally beside the AC condenser handles the supply conversion. It is a purpose-built unit rather than a generic conversion, and the photographs show the actual build.
