A modular 230 V to 460 V step-up transformer for refrigerated containers, $3,100 reduced from $3,500 — the standard answer to a 460 V reefer machine on a 230 V site. 140 lb.
The unit mounts on a plate and bracket rather than standing on the ground, so it goes on the container alongside the machinery it feeds. Each transformer includes an 8/4 SO cable in black rubber insulation rated to 60°C (140°F), and the standard receptacle conforms to the CEE-17 design — which is what a reefer's power cable expects to find. Other receptacles can be furnished by special order.
A circuit breaker and high-voltage receptacle are optional. Field-installed kits are supplied under two part numbers depending on whether the second circuit breaker is included: 76-00670-00 with, 76-00670-02 without. Installation is licensed electrical work.
