Description
A 2,500 litre stainless steel offshore tank container certified to DNV 2.7-1 and CSC plated, supplied with certified lifting slings and shackles. Designed and built as a T11 UN portable tank.
Offshore tank containers exist because lifting a loaded tank off a moving deck is a different structural problem from stacking one in a terminal. DNV 2.7-1 sets the design, testing and marking requirements for containers handled in open sea conditions, including the certified lifting set that comes with the unit. Units can be stacked with their slings still attached, which is what keeps a deck operation quick.
The tank holds 2,500 litres, or 660 US gallons, in a stainless steel shell with a design temperature range of minus 40 to plus 50 degrees C. External nominal dimensions are 1.795 m long by 1.795 m wide by 2.364 m high. Tare weight is 1,400 kg, maximum gross weight for offshore service is 6,500 kg and maximum payload is 5,100 kg. Forklift pockets measure 280 by 112 mm on 1,155 mm centres.
Certification runs wider than the offshore standard. The unit is built and certified as a T11 UN portable tank, which covers the IMDG code for sea, ADR and RID for European road and rail, and the US CFR requirements, and it is CSC plated for ordinary intermodal handling. Dimensions on individual units can differ slightly, so confirm the specific tank against your lifting plan before dispatch.
