Description
A 20 ft high cube double door container, new or used from $2,300 — doors at both ends of a 9 ft 6 in shell, with a lock box on each and Corten frame, sides, doors and understructure throughout.
Fitting the second door set at the factory costs roughly $400 to $600 over a single-door unit. Cutting one in afterwards means removing an end wall and fabricating a frame, at several times that. If there is any chance you will want access from both ends, buy it built that way.
The practical gain is that cargo is sorted from whichever end is nearer, without unloading the front of the box to reach the back. Both ends carry security lock boxes. All units are supplied with a CSC safe plate, ventilation, lashing rings, a high security lock box and plywood flooring, and are stackable. Locking gear height is set to order.
Customisable options include a wide range of exterior and interior colours, flooring in PU coating, steel, bamboo or hazmat specification, tie bar and tie rail, forklift pockets and pallet-wide dimensions. Containers with a cargo door at one end and a roll-up at the other are also available.
