Description
A new 20 ft blast freezer container for processors, fisheries and meat packers who need to pull warm product down to frozen quickly, rather than simply hold it cold. Range −40°F to 70°F.
Performance is quoted in terms that matter to a plant manager. Working from average values, the unit takes 22,000 lb of fish from 41°F (5°C) to a 0°F (−18°C) core in about 44 hours. Total refrigeration capacity is 12,600 kcal/hr (49,600 BTU/hr) at 100°F (37.8°C) ambient with return air at 0°F. That is far more heat removal per cubic foot than a storage unit is built for, and it is wasted money if your product arrives already frozen.
Two independent power supplies are needed, either 460 V three-phase or 230 V three-phase with the optional transformer. Check your site's electrical service before anything else, because a single-phase supply will not run it.
Inside, an easy-open butcher door and walk-in curtains limit the warm air that gets in while staff move in and out. The floor is flat for trolleys and pallet jacks, and LED lights handle the interior. As a new unit it carries the 90-day new-goods warranty.
