Description
A 12 in I-beam main frame under twenty-five feet of 8 ft 6 in flatbed, on a gooseneck with tandem 7,000 lb axles and a five-foot self-cleaning dovetail.
The 12 in I-beam is the specification that separates this from the 8 in framed trailers alongside it. Depth in a beam is what resists bending, and going from eight to twelve inches changes how the deck behaves with a concentrated load in the middle rather than over the axles — the difference between a trailer that carries a car and one that carries a machine.
Twenty-five feet overall includes the five-foot dovetail, which is self-cleaning so mud and debris fall through rather than packing in. Five-foot heavy-duty ramps handle the loading angle, a chain box at the front keeps binders off the deck, and the wiring runs to a 7-way plug. Electric brakes on both axles; a spare tire mount is fitted.
