Description
A 40 ft flat rack, $3,500 reduced from $4,000 — collapsible ends, overhead loading, and the option of new, used, modified or customised configuration.
The overhead opening is what a flat rack sells: cargo that is taller than a container, wider than a container, or has to be craned into position rather than driven in. The collapsible design folds the end walls flat so empty racks stack for transport and storage.
For export use, note that a container leaving the country needs to be cargo worthy and carry a current CSC survey — a flat rack is no exception. If the rack is being bought for domestic use as a platform or a bridge, none of that applies and the used units in this category are the better value.
