Description
A Carrier PowerLINE 69UG15-068S-13 undermount genset, Series 13, for container chassis operators in the US. It mounts under the frame and supplies a full 15 kW to a refrigerated container, EPA Tier 4 certified.
Undermount sets belong to the chassis rather than the box. Bolted beneath the frame, they keep the container face clear, keep weight low, and stay with the chassis however many containers it carries in a week. The 69UG15 family is Carrier's version, and the 068S-13 is its EPA Tier 4 model.
The engine is Carrier's familiar 2.2 litre diesel rated at 18.5 kW with an electronic governor. It drives a custom 15 kW permanent magnet generator, and FuelWise two-speed operation comes as standard. For California the same rule applies as on the clip-on Series 13: compliant with CARB on purchase and for seven years, then an engine emissions system must be fitted, at the factory or in the field, to keep running in the state.
Tanks come in 50, 68 and 80 gallon sizes. Published dry weights are 1,525 lb with the 50 gallon steel tank, 1,455 lb with the 50 gallon aluminium tank and 1,515 lb with the 80 gallon aluminium tank. Operating range is minus 40 to 125 degrees F running. New and used sets are listed between $9,300 and $18,000.
