A 20 ft half height offshore container with an open top and removable side doors, built to DNV 2.7-1 for dense, heavy cargo such as chain, sacked material and scrap.

Heavy bulk goods reach a container's weight limit long before they fill it, so a full-height box offshore is mostly empty air being swung on a crane. The half height cuts that down. It keeps the 20 ft footprint, lowers the walls, and opens the top so material can be loaded from above.

What sets this one apart from a plain half height is the side access. The side doors lift out, so a forklift or a crew can load and unload from the long side at deck level rather than reaching over the wall. There are lashing points inside to hold cargo in place, and a pad eye at each corner for the crane.

The unit is designed and tested to DNV 2.7-1 and ISO 10855. All primary structure is joined with full penetration welds, and the rigging is designed around a 45° sling angle. As with every offshore unit, confirm whether a certified sling set is part of your order. New and used stock is listed.
