Description
A 6.4×16 straight-deck utility trailer with 6 ft mesh sides and a mesh roof, two latched mesh windows and tandem Lippert 3,500 lb axles — a caged trailer that keeps loads in and hands out.
Adding a mesh roof to six-foot mesh sides makes a full cage. Nothing blows out over the top at highway speed, and tools left inside overnight are much harder to lift out. Two latched mesh windows, one at the front and one on the passenger side, let you reach in without opening the back.
The rear gate is reinforced with five internal supports plus the two outer ones, has an upper barn door above it, and folds inside the trailer when you want the full length. Axles are greaseable Lippert units with electric brakes and a breakaway kit. The tongue wraps to the first wheel, the floor is #1 pressure-treated pine with six D-rings, and diamond plate fenders cover 15 in steel wheels on radials. Powder coated, LED lit, with a recessed jack, coupler and chains.
The cage adds weight and height, so check garage and gate clearances before you buy.
