Description
A new 40 ft by 8 ft standard container in RAL 5013 cobalt blue, shipped once from the factory, for anyone who needs close to 2,400 cubic feet of lockable dry storage.
Once-shipped means the box made a single loaded voyage from the factory in China and was then taken out of service, so what you receive is effectively new: straight panels, clean paint and a sound floor. It is built from Cor-Ten steel throughout, with hinged double doors at one end. Each door has two locking bars, and a factory-fitted lockbox shrouds the padlock. The floor is 28 mm marine plywood on steel cross members, and four vents let the box breathe.
Inside you have about 39 ft 4 in of length, 7 ft 8 in of width and 7 ft 10 in of height, which is enough for furniture from a full house, a run of pallet racking or a season's worth of farm inputs. Empty, it weighs around 3,400 kg (7,500 lb), and its CSC plate rates it to 30 tonnes gross.
The door opening is 2.34 m wide by 2.28 m high. Check that against anything wide you plan to load before the unit arrives.
