Description
A 20 ft one-trip container converted to a food and drinks serving unit: two 2,350 mm serving hatches on the front, a third on the end, a 10-point locking personnel door in the rear. $6,500.
Serving hatch width is what decides whether a container café works. Two hatches at 2,350 mm by 900 mm along the front give two service points and a counter run long enough for a queue; the 1,800 mm hatch on the end opens a third face when the unit is placed on a corner. The double doors on the opposite end stay usable for stock and for advertising.
Insulation is 50 mm Dritherm Earthwool in the walls and 100 mm Earthwool in the ceiling, lined with 3.6 mm polyester-faced plywood overhead and 8 mm melamine-faced chipboard on the walls — wipe-clean surfaces throughout — over 2 mm non-slip vinyl flooring. Nine photographs show the actual unit. Health, fire and trading permissions are the operator's to obtain.
