Description
A twenty-foot gooseneck stock trailer — 6 ft 8 in wide with 6 ft 6 in of interior height, on tandem 7,000 lb axles, rated to carry 9,000 lb of cargo.
The 16-gauge crimped side sheets are what to look at. Crimping stiffens a sheet without adding weight, which is why it is used on stock trailers that take pressure from animals leaning and shifting; flat sheet of the same gauge would oil-can and eventually split at the fasteners. Slipper springs on the 7,000 lb axles take the shock out of rough ground.
A swing-style center gate with a slam latch divides the box and can be worked one-handed, and a half-slide rear door lets you meter animals out rather than opening the full width. A 32 in passenger escape door gives you a way out of the box. Sturdy 2 × 8 treated wood flooring, electric brakes, a drop-leg jack, LED drive lights, charcoal polyurethane paint, breakaway kit, safety chains and a 2-5/16 in coupler.
