Description
An all-aluminum three-horse with an 8 ft short wall living quarters at 6,500 lb empty — two thousand pounds lighter than the steel-framed equivalent.
The weight difference is the argument for aluminum. At 6,500 lb empty against a 15,000 lb GVWR, this trailer leaves around 8,500 lb of payload for horses, tack, water and everything in the living quarters — and the trailer itself is not consuming your tow rating. An aluminum floor and hydraulic jack complete the picture.
The living quarters run a refrigerator, cooktop and microwave, sofa, A/C and furnace, radio and antenna, a toilet and shower, fresh, gray and black water holding with a water heater, LP tanks, battery, 110 V wiring and an electric awning. The horse area is a 23 ft box at 7 ft outside width with 7 ft 6 in of interior height — 22.5 hands, comfortable for full-size horses — with an escape door. Test the water and gas systems as well as the floor before it ships.
