Description
An all-aluminum two-horse slant load with a 2 ft short wall, 13 ft box, 6 ft 9 in wide and 7 ft 6 in inside — 2,800 lb empty against 7,000 lb gross.
The proportions here are well judged for a small trailer. Twenty-two and a half hands of interior height is full-size-horse clearance, on a 6 ft 9 in width that is the modern standard rather than the 6 ft of older trailers — so two average horses stand properly without the trailer becoming large or heavy.
At 2,800 lb empty against a 7,000 lb GVWR there is around 4,200 lb of payload, comfortable for two horses and tack. Two feet of short wall with a 7 ft longwall gives a usable dressing area over the tongue. All-aluminum construction means no rust, though the floor still corrodes at the plank seams — lift the mats. The seller’s note on it reads: very clean.
