Description

A 12 ft by 8 ft steel anti-vandal office cabin, an insulated and heated room that locks down hard when the site is empty. It suits a foreman's office, a gatehouse or a small meeting room.

Unattended sites get broken into, and this cabin is built on that assumption. The shell is steel, the external door has two deadlocks, and the only window sits behind a secure steel shutter. When the shutters are down and the door is locked, there is nothing to pry at. The cabin stands on its own corner posts, so it needs no jacklegs, and it will stack on another unit of the same size if ground space is short.

Inside it is a proper workplace. The walls and ceiling are insulated, the wall boards wipe clean, and the vinyl floor is sealed over 18 mm particle board. There is a sliding single-glazed window, power points, an electric convector heater and fluorescent strip lighting. The electrics are tested before the unit leaves.

It gives 3.41 m by 2.195 m of open floor with 2.3 m of headroom, enough for a desk, a plan chest and a couple of chairs. The door opening is 0.8 by 1.99 m.
